When you see a small office with a sign out front that says, “Joe Blow Investments”…what does that mean?
I see this all the time. It probably can mean many things, but can it simply mean it’s a trust-fund kid who Juggles around his own investments?
It means they offer investment advice. It may be an independent investment adviser who charges a fee to clients or an investment adviser who does not charge a fee but earns commissions on the investments he sells to clients. The former is going to be more objective than the latter.
